Year-over-year Canadian motorhome registrations tumbled 23.9% in March and 29.1% for the first three months of 2016, according to the latest report from Statistical Surveys Inc.
Forest River Inc. led the Canadian motorhome sales leader year-to-date, capturing a 28.6% market share, while Winnebago Industries Inc. was No. 2 with a 19.9% share, followed by Jayco Inc. (18.6%) and Thor Industries Inc. (18.2%).
Class A registrations declined 26.6% for the month and 36.9% year-to-date. Forest Rivver was No. 1 for the three months with a 22.8% market share followed by Thor (19.8%). REV Recreation Group and Winnebago each captured 15.8% of the market.
In the Class C segment, sales dropped 22% in March and 21.7% year-to-date. Forest River led the category with a 33.1% market share while Jayco and Winnebago each held a 23.1% share. Thor was No. 3 with a 16.9% share.
