Visit Tucson for More Tourist Attractions
Tucson is further south from Casa Grande. This is a better alternative for those who want the big city experience without the hustle and bustle of a city as big as Phoenix might prefer Tucson. As a city, it has fine dining establishments, entertainment centers, museums, art galleries, and more.
The town of Tubac is a good tourist destination for those who want to see local treasures and visit art galleries. Close to Tubac lies Tumacacori where one can see an old Franciscan church built in 1795. This is now a National Historic Park.
West of Tucson, one can find Ajo which is a charming western town that has its own history. It was an old mining town that has a copper mine pit. Close to it, one can visit the Organ Pipe Cactus National Monument.
Visit Cochise to Know All About the Old West
Cochise is the best destination for those who are fascinated with the old West. Bisbee has copper mine tours that will let anyone get a glimpse of how mining was back then. Lots of Victorian houses and the Mule Mountains can also be seen in Bisbee.
Tombstone is rather popular because it is one of the few places wherein one can witness live gunfights and get a glimpse of the Wild West. Kartchner Caverns State Park offer underground beauty and the Chiricahua National Monument is a towering rock formation that is also a rather popular tourist attraction.
Visit Yuma the Old Gateway to California
Yuma is known as the gateway to California because lots of gold seekers actually passed through Yuma by crossing the bridge built over the Colorado River during the Gold Rush. Due to the Colorado River and Gila River, Yuma offers diverse wildlife.
Those who enjoy water sports and fishing will love this part of AZ. Tourist attractions within Yuma will include the Yuma Crossing National Heritage Area. This area includes the Yuma Quartermaster Depot and Yuma Territorial Prison.
