Find a little something for everyone in this scenic and historic corner of Arizona. Tour the stunning subterranean architecture of Kartchner Caverns in Benson. (Fyi, Benson makes a great base camp with 12 RV parks, 1,500 sites in the city limits.) Relive the Wild West with a visit to the boardwalk sidewalks of Tombstone where lawmen and gunslingers shot their way into the history books.

Nearby Bisbee, America’s southernmost mile-high city nestles in the Mule Mountains. With its picturesque setting and old world architecture, Bisbee is one of Arizona’s premier artist communities. Its hilly streets are lined with colorful shops and galleries.

A must visit are the vineyards near Willcox. Also nearby is the town of Clifton which offers a rare blend of history, architecture, romance, and adventure all wrapped up in the splendor of an Old West mining town.

The city of Douglas is the northern port-of-entry into Agua Prieta, Mexico, with excellent affordable medical tourism services. Whether you come for the food, history, art, nature, or just passing through, Douglas, Arizona is a destination for the culture-driven traveler.

Finally, there’s Chiricahua National Monument, the most spectacular of Arizona’s Sky Island mountains. This volcanic landscape bristles with an extraordinary array of vertical rock spires, balanced boulders, columns, and hoodoos, creating a high country escape beloved by birders from all over the world. The monument is veined with hiking trails and includes the historic district of Faraway Ranch. Tucked away in a shady pine and oak grove, Bonito Canyon Campground has 25 sites and includes restrooms with flush toilets, running water, and picnic tables.
