Enjoy Watery Fun on the West Coast
If you’re looking for water sports in the desert, you’re sure to find some fun along the West Coast of Arizona. The Colorado River runs along this western border, providing life-sustaining water and recreation to all who visit. But there’s much more to this area.
Near the northwest corner of the state is Kingman, the “Heart of Historic Route 66.” More than 60 of Kingman’s buildings are listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
North of I-10, Bullhead City, Lake Havasu City, Parker and Ehrenberg are havens to all who love water sports. Situated along the banks of the Colorado River, Lake Havasu City is famously the second home of the London Bridge, which spans the river. Parker has the only resort and casino on the river in this region.
A thriving hub of activity during the winter season, Quartzsite sits at the crossroads of I-10 and Hwy. 95 to points north and south. Its Sports, Vacation & RV Show is the largest in Arizona, with exhibits, shopping, repairs, upgrades and worthy workshops.
